Miller, Mildred 'Darlene'
Mildred "Darlene" Miller, 75, of Swisher, died peacefully Thursday, Fe. 23, 2012, at Mercy Hospice. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be at the funeral home before the service, from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be at Memory Gardens, Iowa City, following the service.
Darlene was born April 3, 1936, in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of William and Ida Irene Wilson. She worked for many years at her business before retiring in 1993.
Darlene was a very loving and family-oriented person and family always came first.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (Steve) Yakish of Solon; her son, David Miller (Lorene) of Marengo; her sister, Carolyn (Robert) Clark of Moline, Ill.; her brother, Robert Robison (Jean) of Franklin, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Richard Blakey.
The family would like to thank hospice and Cancer Care of Iowa City for their compassion and caring for her and our family.
