Miller, Kenneth Edward 'Kenny'

Kenneth Edward “Kenny” Miller, 74, of Marion, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at his daughter, Brooke's home. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his children, Mark (Julie) Miller of Cedar Rapids, Lorey Jenson (fiance Jake Heiar) of Cedar Rapids and Brooke (Bill) Richards of Marion; eight grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Jordan, Andy, Alicia, Skyler, Mason and Levi; a sister, Nadine Hazewinkle of Marion; and his faithful canine companion, “Suzi.”

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Glen and Dorothy (Smith) Miller. He graduated from Marion High School with the class of 1957. Kenny was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Cedar Rapids for 34 years before retirement. His loves included golfing, fishing and trips to the casino.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice in Cedar Rapids in Kenny's memory.
