Miller, Jerome Russell 'Jerry'
Jerome Russell “Jerry” Miller, 63, of Marengo, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, First Presbyterian Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Gerald Rife officiating. Burial will be in Inland Cemetery, Bennett, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
A memorial fund has been established.
Jerome Russell Miller “Jerry” was born July 15, 1947, at Davenport, Iowa, the son of Russell and Eldora Reeve Miller. He attended the Bennett Community School and graduated from Iowa Valley High School in Marengo in 1965. He went on and graduated from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, with a degree in accounting. His work history included vice president of Fairfield Line Inc.; president of Brookville Glove Co.; business manager for Cedar County Workshop; and accountant for Cole County Residential Services.
Jerry enjoyed the out-of-doors, especially hunting, fishing, trapshooting and motorcycling. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles, Mo. Jerry was married to Diane Scott in 1967, and was blessed with two children, Melissa and Brian.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane; daughter, Melissa Biundo and husband David of Weston, Wis.; son, Brian Miller and wife Kristen of Marengo; three granddaughters, Taylor and Mackenzie Biundo of Weston and Emilee Miller of Marengo; his brother, Del Miller and wife Jan of Manhattan, Kan.; and two nephews, Tad Miller of Wichita and Todd Miller of Manhattan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Troy Miller in 2004.
