Miller, Donald C.
Donald C. Miller, 80, formerly of Iowa City, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, in Freemont, Calif., following a lengthy illness.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the Web at www.gayandciha.com
Donald Calvin Miller was born April 30, 1929, in Iowa City, the son of Ted and Gertrude (Sheridan) Miller. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Navy. After military service he settled in California, where he worked and later retired.
His family includes a daughter, Gail M. Miller of Moorpark, Calif.; sisters, Erma Martin of Cedar Rapids, Lova Fritsch of Galesburg, Ill., and Elaine Robus of Heber Springs, Ark.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Pauline Spivey, formerly of Tiffin.
