Miles, Mary Pauline
Mary Pauline Miles, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center following an extended illness. No memorial service or gathering is planned at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include a brother, James (Kathryn) Lindsey of Anamosa; a daughter, Kathy Miles of Cedar Rapids; sons, James Miles of Overland Park, Kan., Christopher (Janice) Miles of West Union and Michael Miles, of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Michael (Laurie) Johnson, Jennifer (Matt) Miller and Michael (Erin) Miles; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Garrett and Nathan Miller and Gage Miles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucille Lindsey; spouse, Gage Claire Miles; brother, Hugh Victor Lindsey; and sister, Barbara Louise Nassif.
Mary Pauline Miles was born Nov. 6, 1920, in Caney, Kan. She married Gage Miles on Aug. 7, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. Mary worked as a secretary for several educational institutions as well as Goss Printing. She was also involved with the Church of Christ, Scientist and was a very devoted mother.
