Mildred “Milly” Mae Schriner, 86, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away May 1, 2024 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine, IA.
Milly was born in Keyston, IA, January 18, 1938 the daughter of John Henry Peters and Mabel (Lanum) Peters. She grew up in Belle Plaine, attending Belle Plaine High School. Following school Milly married Nathan Rupp, to this union five children were born. The couple later went their separate ways. Milly was later married to Glenn Schriner at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. She worked several part time jobs; she was a dependable employee.
Milly enjoyed painting, reading, watching Masterpiece Theater. She and Glenn would often go camping and enjoyed trips with friends. She loved her grandchildren and stepgrandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Nichole Rupp of Cedar Rapids, Shelly Rupp of Des Moines, Heidi Miner of Belle Plaine, Lori (Jim) Petersen of Washington; grandchildren, Hannah Murphy, Addison Cooperider; stepchildren, Connie (Dana) Horst, Sheryl (Roger) Yilek, Glennda Mann; stepgrandchildren, Clint McWilliams, Travis McWilliams, Shana Heishman, Mick Yilek, Rob Yilek, Linda Schriner, Joy Mann, Jermey Mann; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Milly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; son, Brian Rupp; brother, Dean Peters; stepdaughter, Glennda Mann.
