Mildred Ahlstrom, 93, of Belmond, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016. Memorial Mass: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Belmond, with Father Jerry Blake officiating. Visitation one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Interment with military honors in Belmond Cemetery.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Roy, in 2009.
She was born in Detroit, Mich., and served in the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps beginning in 1944. She was a former manager of Armar Ballroom with Roy from 1950 to 1962. She was a 17-year employee of Maurice Breen CPA firm in Cedar Rapids.
