Milder, Patricia R. (Lowrance)
Patricia R. (Lowrance) Milder of Iowa City died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City. Father John Spiegel will officiate. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. A parish wake service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Patricia Milder Memorial Fund.
Pat was born July 30, 1949, in El Dorado, Kan., the daughter of Homer and Genrose (Erpelding) Lowrance. She graduated from Regina High School in 1968 and married John H. Milder on Oct. 3, 1970, at St. Mary's Church in Iowa City, where she continued to be a member.
They made their home in Iowa City and raised their sons, Pete and Steve.
She retired from US Bank in 2009 and devoted time to her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and continued her 32 years of serving her Mary Kay Cosmetics clients.
Pat enjoyed camping, Hawkeye sports, NASCAR racing and going to her grandchildren's sporting and school events.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, John; her sons, Pete Milder and Steve (Lisa) Milder, both of Iowa City; grandchildren, Cole, Logan and Madison; her brother, Rex (Teri) Lowrance of Roscoe, Ill.; her sister, Jane (John) Ashland of Hiawatha; niece, Jennifer (Joe) Wartick; and nephew, Justin Lowrance.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
