Miksch, Agnes
Agnes Miksch, 99, of Washington, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the United Presbyterian Home following a decline in health the past six weeks. Celebration of Life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the United Methodist Church, with Pastor Julie Poulsen officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
She is survived by four children: son Edward Miksch and wife Judy of Scottsdale, Ariz., son James Miksch and wife Lynda of Washington, Iowa, daughter Gretchen Denton and husband Douglas of Rochester Hills, Mich., and son George Miksch and wife Pat of Port St. Lucie, Fla. Agnes is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1982; three brothers, William, James and John Richardson; and one sister, Edith Richardson.
Memorials have been established for Washington County Hospice and the United Methodist Church.
