Mikel Steward Beaty, 58, passed away at his home on Dec. 20, 2016.
Mikel worked at Cedar Manufacturing, D.A.D. Manufacturing, Divine Engineering and Cedarapids Inc., as a metal fabricator.
Mikel was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Beaty and Dorothy "Mae" Bailey; and his sister, Susan Friedman.
He is survived by his children, Brandon Beaty of Cedar Rapids, Maria (Jason) Corey of Marion and Mikka Behrends of Toddville; grandchildren, Lorianna, Jessica and Thomas; brother, Rod (Peggy) Bailey of Urbana; and sisters, Dawn Marie Beaty of Oelwein and Karen Beaty.
Celebration of Life will be Jan. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harmony Lodge, IAM Union 831 located at 222 Prospect Pl. SW, Cedar Rapids. Burial services will be at a later date.
