Mike Hughes, 46, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at the University of
Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Cedar Memorial Park Family Center & Library. Please bring a photo or a memory to share. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Ron and Kathy of Everett, Wash.; his sons, Jackson and Cody of Cedar Rapids; and their mother, Trisha; his brother, Steve of Madison, Wis.; paternal grandmother, Helen Johnson of Grinnell; and longtime girlfriend, Shellie Havlik and son Jacob of Cedar Rapids. Mike will be greatly missed by his beloved dogs, Dudley, Cooper and Hank.
Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joan Juull.
Mike was born Aug. 23, 1972, in Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Ron and Kathy (Juull) Hughes. He attended Marion High School and graduated from V.V.S. in upstate New York. He was employed at Ready Wireless Telecommunications in Hiawatha.
