Michelle M. McBride, 57, of Des Moines, formerly of Iowa Falls and Luxemburg, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at the Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines.
Friends and relatives may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Reiff Funeral Home in Farley and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Schueller presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley.
Michelle was born Jan. 5, 1960, in Anamosa, Iowa, a daughter of Harry V. and Madonna (White) McBride. She was a graduate of Beckman High School in Dyersville and attended Kirkwood Community College and Iowa State University, where she received her degree in accounting. She was united in marriage to John Kluesner. On Feb. 15, 2007, she was united in marriage to Allen Lambertz. She was employed as an accountant.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Lambertz of Des Moines; a son, Luke Kluesner of Des Moines; a stepson, Derrick Lambertz of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Erica (Justin) Sand of Earlham; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Logan; her father, Harry V. McBride (and Nadine Brady) of Anamosa; and brothers and sisters, Michael J. (Julie) McBride of Delray Beach, Fla., Margaret "Peggy" (John) Smith of Kingman, Ariz., Patricia J. Link of Des Moines and Lynne (Steve) Dekowski of Austin, Texas, who donated her kidney to Michelle.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Madonna McBride, in 1972; and a sister, Laura Dykstra, in 1998.
Memorials may be given in Michelle's name to Donate Life of America.
