MICHELE ROOF COVARRUBIAS
North Liberty
Michele Roof Covarrubias, 45, of North Liberty, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at her home.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, July 9, at Lensing Oak Hill Funeral Service, 210 Holiday Rd. in Coralville, with the Rev. Alecia Hilmer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to
5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for her sons, Cristian and Ian.
Michele was born July 26, 1972, in Iowa City, the daughter of Keith and JoDee Goughnour Roof. Michele was a 1990 graduate of West High School and received her A.A. from Kirkwood Community College. In 2001, she received her bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and in 2011 a master's degree in business from the University of Phoenix.
Michele was employed at El Cactus in North Liberty.
Michele is survived by her two sons, Cristian and Ian Covarrubias; her parents, Keith and JoDee Roof, all of North Liberty; her brother, Pat and Suzie Roof and their daughter, Marleigh Roof, all of Marion; her former spouse, Juan Covarrubias of Coralville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
