Michalek, Lorretta
Lorretta Michalek, 78, of Victor, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor, with the Rev. Brian Shepley officiating. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home in Victor, with the family present from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a rosary recited at 4 p.m. and Scripture service at 7 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Michalek of Victor; children, Robert Michalek of Overland Park, Kan., Tim (Jileane) Michalek of DeSoto, Kan., Terry Michalek of Hinckley, Minn., and Sarah (Kenny) Kaplan of Victor; sisters, Bernadine Roushar of Cedar Rapids, Mary (Don) Sumpter of Brooklyn, Katherine (Laverne) Dietrich of Newton and Jeannette (Bill) Holtz of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Mary Pilcher of Davenport; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marie DeMeulenaere; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Kriegel, Jack Roushar and Bud DeMeulenaere.
