Michael Thomas Lund, 42, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Trinity Lutheran Church located at 1363 1st Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life Services: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2025, with luncheon to follow. Private family burial, Shueyville Cemetery.

Michael is survived by his wife Brandi Lund; daughters, Taylor and Kaylyn; parents, Larry & Beth Lund; siblings, Chris (Linda) Lund, Scott (Carol) Lund, Brett Lund, Matt Lund, and Todd (Janelle) Lund; 12 nieces & nephews; six great-nieces & -nephews, his in-laws, and several aunts and uncles.

Michael was preceded in death by grandparents, Sam and Grace Olson, and Chris and Minnie Lund, along with several aunts and uncles.

Michael was born on September 23, 1982, in Cedar Rapids. He is a 2001 graduate of Jefferson High School. He was employed at International Paper Company.

Michael enjoyed woodworking, going on family trips, and being a true “Girl Dad.” He also cherished his beloved pets. Michael was well-loved and will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up at AIM Credit Union for the girls’ education fund.
