MICHAEL RAY O'BRIEN
Frankfort/Lincoln Estates, Ill.
Michael Ray O'Brien, 69, longtime resident of Frankfort/Lincoln Estates, died June 20, 2016.
A teamster for 38 years, Mike retired in 2007 from ABF Freight, Local 710, after 22 years of service. Mike was born in Omaha, Neb., and raised in Burbank, Ill. He was a graduate of Reavis High School and was a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, "The Walking Dead" 1st Battalion, 9th Regiment, 3rd Division.
Mike was the husband of Robine (nee Rolko); father of Deborah (Robert) Giglio, Pamela (Kevin) Dwyer and William Rolko; proud grandpa of Samantha, Luke and Timothy; son of the late Elva Beatrice Sutherlin and Dwain O'Brien; brother of the late Gale "Darlene" (Carroll) Weiss; a loving uncle; and dear friend of many.

A celebration of Mike's life and open house will be held Sunday, July 3, from 5 to 11 p.m. (6:30 p.m. memorial prayer service) at the New Lenox American Legion Hall, Thomas E. Hartung Post 1977, 14414 W. Ford Dr. (Cedar Rd, ½ mile N of Laraway Rd.), New Lenox, Ill. Private burial with military honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Ill.
