Michael Newcomb, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at Mechanicsville Specialty Care. As per Michael’s wishes, private services
will be held at a later date in the Spring (email donbrimmer@yahoo.com for details). Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is caring for Michael and his arrangements.
Michael was born March 13, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Roger and Margaret Lois (Meyers) Newcomb. He worked at Quaker Oats for many years. He was married to Diane Stephens on May 18, 1974, and again on Feb. 4, 1981. Mike and good friend Don Brimmer worked at Newk’s Auto Sales from 2003-2013. He enjoyed traveling to Florida and spending time with his many friends, including Bill W.
Michael is survived by his step-sisters, Lori Newcomb of Florida and Tami Newcomb of Georgia; as well as many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his aunt, Beverly Salman.
