Michael “Mikey” Dallas Robert Willits, 36, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, joined his family in heaven on St. Patrick’s Day as a result of a car accident in Alabama. He was born at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. He is survived by his parents, Melanie Willits and Kevin Koenighain.
He left behind five beautiful children, Jolie, Dallas, Samele, Temperance and Landry. He had two brothers, Mackenzie and Micky Willits, and two sisters, Alexia and Kayla. He was preceded in death by his Gma Suzy and Uncle Buddy, who meant the world to him.
He was a plumber by trade, but was extremely gifted with his hands.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at Gilligan’s, 912 First Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids. Anyone who knew Mikey is welcome to join us.
