MICHAEL "MIKE" ALLEN ENGLERT

Michael "Mike" Allen Englert, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017.
As per Mike's wishes, he chose to be cremated. A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. A Celebration of life will be at a later date.
Michael was born July 8, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Robert and Joyce (Bohr) Englert. He graduated with honors from Lisbon High School. He received a degree in computer programming from Kirkwood. Mike worked at Land O'Lakes, Source Data and Ruffalo Noel Levitz. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching the Bears, White Sox and the Hawkeyes.
Mike is survived by his mother, Joyce Englert of Lisbon; children, Eden Englert of Des Moines, Evan Englert and Elissa Englert, both of Cedar Rapids; his grandpuppies; his siblings, Douglas (Kelly) Englert and Tamara Englert; and his nephews, Cullyn, Calvin and Cale.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
