MICHAEL ALLEN MEINERT
Manchester
Michael Allen Meinert, 53, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at his home in West Des Moines after a lengthy illness.
He was born July 23, 1964, in the Postville, Iowa, hospital. Michael graduated from West Delaware High School in Manchester. He went on to college at the University of Northern Iowa, graduating with a degree in business/accounting/CPA.
He is survived by his parents, Lee and Lois Meinert of Ankeny; two brothers, James (Christine) Meinert of Antigo, Wis., and their sons, Collin and Jaron, and Arick (Shelly) Meinert of Ankeny and their two daughters, Kennedy and Karly; and Michael's two sons, Grayson and Devon, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Bryan, in 1990; and all of his grandparents.
His body was cremated, and services were held for the immediate family on April 12 at the chapel at Our Lady's Immaculate Catholic Church in Ankeny with Father Steve Orr officiating.
Michel's family would like to thank Dr. Larry Severidt and Father Steve Orr for their loving care and support in the last several years of Michael's life.
