Michael Matheny, 58, of Iowa City, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 12, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in the section of Woodlawn. Michael was born on Sept. 21, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Harry and Esther (Smith) Matheny.
He is survived by his three siblings, Sandra Matheny, David (Marla) Matheny and Sherry Kubicek; and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
