MICHAEL MANGOLD

Michael Lee Mangold, 27, of Iowa City, formerly of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Mike was born June 19, 1988, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ron Mangold and Rose (Sperfslage) Schmock. Mike graduated from West Delaware High School in 2007.
Mike lived in Man-chester, Dubuque, and presently resided in Iowa City. He had many artistic talents and displayed these in his drawings and paintings. Mike enjoyed computer games, fishing, reading, listening to music and metal detecting.
Mike is survived by his father, Ron Mangold of Quasqueton; his mother, Rose (Steve) Schmock of Manchester; a brother, Jordan (special friend, Emily Beltran) Mangold of Des Moines; maternal grandmother, Ethel Sperfslage of Independence; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard W. Sperfslage; paternal grandparents, Leon and Audrey Mangold; and an uncle, Rodney Sperfslage.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Pastor Brooks Simpson and Pastor Jacob Mangold will officiate. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Inurnment will be at a later date.
