Michael Lewis, 51, of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly Feb. 15, 2018, at his home. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Aluria), Melissa, Matthew (Amy) and Raelynn Peyton and Jonathan Rife; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Dave, Bev, Bill, Jeff and Tim; and the children's mother, Ashlyn Peyton.
Michael Allen was born to David and Connie (Houk) Lewis on June 7, 1966, in Iowa City. He was a roofer by trade who enjoyed life outdoors. Camping and fishing for catfish or trout, especially at Bailey's Ford in Manchester, were favorite pastimes. But he loved telling stories and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
