Michael Lawrence Cole, 41, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. A private family celebration of life will be held for Michael.
Survivors include his mother, Darcie Luxa; sons, Jonathon Sager and Ryan Ratchford; sisters, Brittany Cole and Andrea (Joseph) Wilson; and nieces, Nadia Collione, Olivia Wilson, and Emma Wilson.
Michael was born on November 13, 1983, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Jonathon Black and Darcie Cole. He attended Jefferson High School and graduated from Metro High School. Michael was huge movie buff, especially horror movies and also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
The family extends a sincere thank-you to the staff of Hospice of Mercy and the Oldorf Hospice House for their kindness and compassion.
