Michael L. Rogers, age 68, of Iowa City, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Lantern Park Specialty Care.

Born on March 10, 1957 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Michael was the son of Kenneth and Noreen (Wagner) Rogers. He attended school in Marengo before transferring to Iowa City, where he attended West High School.
He was a very gifted mechanic. Michael could fix just about anything and was especially talented with diesel engines. He was most recently employed at Midwest Frame and Axel. He loved racing and spending time at the drag track in Brainerd, Minnesota. Michael enjoyed fishing, especially at night with his family and close friends.
Michael’s family includes his sons: Dwight Rogers of Cosgrove, Todd (Paula) Rogers of Atalissa, and Michael (Sara) Rogers of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren: Alyssa Rogers (Caleb Wagner), Jacob Rogers, Avery Rogers Leximae Rogers, Braeylynn Rogers, Winston Rogers, Lola Rogers, and Fern Rogers; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Pam Axeen, Connie Myers, Jim (Joyce) Rogers, Robin (David) Barcas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Allan Axeen and Darrell Myers; and a fishing buddy, Chuck Vandenberg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Michael Rogers.
