Michael "Mike" David Kelley, 56, of Godley, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Jan. 25, 2014, in Fort Worth, Texas. Burial and a short graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, in the Wapello Cemetery, Wapello, Iowa. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at The Club House, Five Season Mobile Home Park, 3421 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Mark Thomas of the Central Assembly of God Church. A celebration of life dinner and remembrance will follow the service where we will play some of the music of Mike's from the two bands he played in and just talk and remember him. We plan to end around 7:30 p.m.
Mike is survived by the love of his life, Janice of Godley, Texas; three children, Kathy, Joshua (Sarah) and Robin (Randall); 10 grandchildren; mother, Judith Kelley of Cedar Rapids; brothers,
Richard of
Cedar Rapids and Merle Jr. (Nadonna) of North Liberty; and a sister, Pebble (Victor) of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merle Kelley Sr.
Michael was born March 29, 1957, the son of Merle and Judith (Fite) Kelley Sr.
Michael, we will always love and miss you. Til we see you again, enjoy your time with dad.
