Michael Cackoski passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, in Rockville, Md., due to complications following a heart attack.
Michael was born in 1989 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated from Xavier High School in 2007. He holds undergraduate degrees from the University of St. Thomas and
graduate degrees from the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University.
He was passionate about his work as a group manager for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Washington, D.C.
Those who knew Michael well know that he filled his 33 years of life to the brim. He always lived with zest, a love of learning and boundless curiosity, and his list of interests and hobbies was constantly growing.
Michael is survived by his wife, Caitlyn Cackoski; children, Ambrose and Felix Cackoski; parents, Ken and Bonnie Cackoski; and sister, Christina (Jeff) Jarvis.
A funeral Mass will be held on at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at the University of St. Thomas Chapel in St. Paul, Minn., with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Minnesota Public Radio or the American Red Cross.
