Michael J. Gayther, 46, passed away at Allen Memorial Hospital on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, after a short illness.
He is survived by his beloved cat, Reaper; his parents, Anita Gayther-Bush (Bob) of Waterloo, Iowa, and Thomas Gayther (Sue) of Waukon, Iowa; his sister, Cindy Anderson (Jay), and his nieces, Hanna, Jenna and Autumn, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and a multitude of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Marian Mettner of Lansing, Iowa, and Lester and Vivian Gayther of Charles City, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Community of Christ, 4616 Cedar Heights Dr., Cedar Falls, Iowa, on Dec. 3, at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in his name.
