Michael David Hotchkiss, 49, of Hiawatha, passed away following a brave battle against cancer on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Alburnett Christian Church.
Michael was born Aug. 6, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Rose (Crosby) and Steve Hotchkiss. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School. Mike previously worked for the family business, Midwest Janitorial Supply. Most recently, he worked in retail sales. Mike's many interests include fishing, golf and various sports.
His family includes his mother, Rose (Crosby) Hotchkiss of Hiawatha; two sons, Nick and Jon Halverson of Dyersville; and a brother, Allan Hotchkiss of Waukee.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Angela (Frantz); and his father, Steve Hotchkiss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alburnett Christian Church, 305 N. Main Ave., Alburnett, IA 52202.
