MICHAEL DUNNE HEALY

Michael Dunne Healy was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., and passed Nov. 21, 2018.
He was the son of Anne Dunne and Edward Healy. He was the second of eight children, his elder brother being Edward, then his younger siblings, Nancy, Francis, Joel, Jon, Timothy and Thomas. Michael was an U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a psychologist, an educator, an athlete, a writer and a bard.
Michael was the father of six children, Michael, Michelle, Shannon, Monique, Sabrina and Erin. He also was the grandfather of 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the loving husband to a wonderful woman, Faye Cooley-Healy, of 39 years. Michael and Faye hosted many high school exchange students, who have become honorary African Healys: Abu, Awad, Yassir, Mamani, Habib, Auwal, Said and Abdoulaye.
