Michael J. Deal, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Living Center East. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura Deal; three sons, Eric (Rachelle), Nathan and Jeremy; his mother, Marjorie; and a sister, Stephanie (Richard) Phillips, all of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Mark (Joan) of Wisconsin; and a grandson, Landon.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Scott
Michael was born Oct. 23, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Jack and Marjorie Peck Deal. He graduated from Washington High School in 1972 and worked at Cryovac for several years.
Michael enjoyed cars and watching NASCAR and was an avid Hawkeye fan. His greatest joy, however, was the time spent with his friends and beloved family.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
