MICHAEL D. VISEK

Michael D. Visek, 64, of Cedar Rapids, died Nov. 23, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. He was born on June 9, 1954.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2019, at the Union Station extension. Burial will be at a later date.
He is survived by his children, Michael
J. (Dana), Holly Merrifield, Joshua, Jennifer, Lucas (Jordan) and Levi;
brothers, Philip (Kim), Jeffery (Lisa) and Christopher; father, Milo "Mike"; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his former wife and friend, Tina.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; and grandson, Jon.
Michael was retired from the City of Cedar Rapids recreational department. He had many hobbies: cooking, fishing and collecting trains, cars and many other things.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established. A memorial fund for burial expenses may be directed to Tina Visek.
