Michael Lewis Colvin, 69, of Bluffton, S.C., passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Sept. 25, 1945, to the late Henry Lewis and Edith Burrows Colvin. He was the former district sales manager for RJR Nabisco, owner of PCJ Enterprises Mini Storage Units and owner of Buffalo Bill's Saloon in Fond du Lac, Wis.
He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, loved fishing, enjoyed playing golf and was a Sun City volunteer for the Safety and Security Committee. He loved having people at his home for food and cards.
He was an excellent provider, loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Kessler Colvin of Bluffton; one son, Mark Allen Colvin (Margo) of Waukesha, Wis.; one daughter, Teresa Ann Fitzgibbons (James) of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; one brother, James Colvin (Mona) of Ottumwa; and one grandchild, Michael James Fitzgibbons.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Shannon Colvin; one brother, Jack Maring; and one sister, Patricia M. Ruchotzke.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, at St. Francis By The Sea Catholic Church, Hilton Head Island, S.C. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, S.C.
