Codi Traaseth (Keith) of Eau Claire, Wis., Brooke McCarty (Ryan) of Lakeville, Minn., and Kiley Carlson (John) of Farmington, Minn.; grandchildren, Brinan and Addisyn Traaseth, Ayvahlin, Izaiah, and Brantley McCarty, and McKenzie and Liam Carlson; great-grandson, Waylen Williams; father, Wayne Adair of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; mother-in-law, Mary Cundiff of Bremerton, Wash.; brother and sisters, Rodney Adair (Sharon), Kathie Johnson (Ron) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Tess Adair (Brad) of North Port, Fla.; sister-in-law, Mary (Guy) of Washington; 10 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and -nephews.
Preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Adair of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and father-in-law, Gene Cundiff of Bremerton, Wash.
Mike Married Connie June 27, 1993, in Glendale, Ariz., 28 wonderful years. He was known as "Mikey" to his wife. Mike loved his wife's cooking and baking. They both enjoyed a trip to the casino. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. Mike was a loving and kind and honest man. Mike always had a story to tell of his adventures. Mike grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Cedar Hills area and played ball. He wrestled in High school at Jefferson Senior High.
Mike retired May of 2021 as a labor foreman for Lease Crutches Lewis. Mike moved to North Port, Fla., and built his new home for retirement. Mike had an amazing career. He worked doing concrete coring and cutting and at the end of his career he worked on the tunnel (State Route 99 tunnel) that ran underground in Seattle, Wash.
Things Mike loved most besides his family were his new found love of fishing in the waters around Florida, and the same in Washington state. Crabbing was something he also enjoyed. His trips to Minnesota to fish with family were very special to him. His love of cars and motorcycles were unsurmountable. He loved to be in his garage rebuilding a car or a Harley-Davidson. Mike had a green thumb and you could always tell when you saw his homes. The work he did was beautiful.
Mike will be missed by so many, his wife, family and friends.
Goodbyes hurt when the story is not finished and the book has been closed.
