Meyer, Virginia Pauline Boos
Virginia Pauline Boos Meyer, 68, died June 8, 2010, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago after a battle with cancer. Her family will be holding memorial services in July for family and friends at a date and time to be determined.
Gina was born in Anamosa on June 20, 1941, the daughter of Alvina and Leonard Boos. She graduated from Anamosa, Creighton, and attended the Sorbonne. At the time of her death she was director of foreign students at Lincoln College in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Gina was married to Mick Meyer of Calmar. They lived with their three children in Gainesville, Fla. Gina later married Jerald Wall of Omaha.
Survivors include her three children, Chad Meyer (Annette), Nicole Meyer and Keli Berg (Ron). She had one grandson, Roman Meyer. She is also survived by six sisters and two brothers, Teri Dykeman, Mary Jo Vaughan, Patti Zimmerman (Kent), Cecilia Parks, Jana Monser (David), Nancy Lowe (Phil), Michael Boos (Mary) and Loras Boos (Agnes). Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David and Doug; and two sisters, Dolores Wegman (Bill) and Mercedes Sperry (John).
