Meyer, Betty Darlene

Betty Darlene Meyer, 76, of Williamsburg and formerly of Milton, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Colonial Manor, Amana.

She is survived by her children, Vickie (Gary) Williams, Kurt (Marilyn) Meyer, all of Williamsburg, Iowa, and Tammy (Doran) Weatherington of Milton, Iowa; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sherry (Bill) Smith of Cedar Rapids and Karen (Lowell) Martin of Marengo; a brother, Larry (Marsha) Roberts of Marengo; two sisters-in-law, Vera (Delmar) Knock and Joyce (late Larry) Lortz, all of Williamsburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1991; father- and mother-in-law Julius and Freida Meyer; a daughter, Debra; and a great-grandson, Hunter Wardenburg.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. Pastor Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established for the Davis County Fair and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
