Mercer, Jacqueline
Jacqueline Mercer, 62, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, following a brief illness at her home. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, James; daughters, Gloria Portz of Rockford, Ill., and Paula Kaufmann of Des Moines; grandchildren, Philip Portz and Kasey Portz; great-granddaughter, Elley Portz; and sister, Dixie Evans of Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Gloria Myers; and sister, Jeannine Myers.
Jacqueline was born Feb. 8, 1951, the daughter of Richard and Gloria (Mittan) Myers, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On Dec. 22, 1980, she was united in marriage to James Mercer in Cedar Rapids.
Jacqueline was under the compassionate care of the Mercy Hospice staff and surrounded by the love of her husband.
