Meloan, Dorothy M.
Dorothy M. Meloan, 90, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013. There will be a private family service at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Tina Gazur; grandchildren, Pam (Mike) Kopel, Jodi (Chad) Clark, Sam (Lori) Gallo, Marie (Andy) Gallo and Loi Lam; and great-grandchildren, Anna and Ashley Kopel, McCain and Sela Clark, Joe and Emma Gallo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; a daughter, Julie Meloan; a grandson, Mitch Gallo; and twin sister, Doris Usher.
Dorothy was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Marie Julis Chyba. She married Joe B. Meloan in 1942. He died in 1994.
Dorothy and Joe enjoyed many years traveling throughout the United States and especially enjoyed many good times with family and friends at their cabin below Sutliff.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Luke's 3-West and Heritage Care Center Unit 3.
In Dorothy's presence we always had cloudless skies and endless laughs.
