Megchelsen, Dorothy Leann
Dorothy Leann Megchelsen, 74, of Ainsworth, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. at Mercy Iowa City following a sudden illness. Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the United Presbyterian Church, Washington, with the Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at the Oregon Township Cemetery, Ainsworth, Iowa.
Memorials have been established for the United Presbyterian Church of Washington, the Washington Community Y or the Children's Miracle Network at the University of Iowa.

She is survived by her son, Neal Megchelsen and wife Karen of Ainsworth; daughter, Sara Megchelsen and husband Rob Horning of Stillwater, Minn.; daughter, Mary Malenke and husband David of Maple Grove, Minn.; six grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, Wilfred McCreedy and wife Karen of Ainsworth; sister-in-law, Lila Megchelsen of Marengo; and many nieces and nephews.
