McMurrin, Wilbur Richard
CEDAR RAPIDS - Wilbur Richard McMurrin, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at Living Center East. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Forest Hill Chapel Cemetery near Morley, with Pastor Melody Williams officiating.
Survivors include his companion of 34 years, Dorthy Krotz, and her daughter, Betty Schultz, of Atkins; daughter, Wanda Bantz of Rowley; two sons, Danny McMurrin and Jack McMurrin, both of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Duane McMurrin of Stanley, Bob McMurrin of Cedar Falls, Roger McMurrin of Waterloo and Norman McMurrin of Otterville; a sister, Pauline Johnstone of Cedar Rapids; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Don, Albert and Neal McMurrin; two sons, Terry and Bill D.; and two grandchildren.
Wilbur was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of William L. and Mae (White) McMurrin.
