McMurrin, Charlotte Marie (Bentley) Wullner
Charlotte Marie (Bentley) Wullner McMurrin, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Papich-Kuba Janeba Chapel West, 1604 J St. SW, by Chaplain Brian Reeves, Care Initiatives Hospice. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
Charlotte is survived by nine children, Robert Wullner, Cedar Rapids, James Wullner, Monticello, Norma Kiefer, Swisher, LeeRoy Wullner, Cedar Rapids, Donald Wullner, Swisher, Ronald (Vicki) Wullner, Hiawatha, Sandra (Damon) Pulliam, Tipton, Albert McMurrin Jr. and Bruce (Erin) McMurrin, both of Cedar Rapids; four stepsons, Jeff (Paula) McMurrin, Kenny McMurrin and Brian (Bobby Lee) McMurrin, all of Hot Springs, Ark. and Mark McMurrin of Cedar Rapids; brother, Clifford (Viola) Bentley, Shueyville; sister, Betty Dally, Harmony, Minn.; 39 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ernest Wullner and Albert McMurrin, Sr.; two sons, David and Rich Wullner; two grandsons, David Wullner-Lewis and Joseph Wullner, two great-grandsons; a great-great-grandson; two brothers, Ted and Claude Bentley; and a sister, Margaret Brandt.
Charlotte was born October 10, 1924 on a farm near Bluffton to Lawrence and Mildred (Emery) Bentley. She was employed at Wilson and Co. Meat Packing Plant for 37 years until her retirement. Charlotte enjoyed sewing and making quilts. She especially loved taking care of her many grandchildren.
