McMullen, Emma C.
Emma C. McMullen, 98, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Private graveside burial at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; two sons, John (Sue) Volz and Kenneth (Kathy) Volz; daughter, Molly McMullen; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Joann) Mrstik and Roy (Dorothy) Mrstik; and one sister, Betty Heeren.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Leanne; five sisters; and three brothers.
Emma was born Feb. 5, 1911, in rural Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Ann (Hrmatka) Mrstik. She married Richard McMullen on Nov. 15, 1952.
