McFate, Delmar Clarence
Delmar Clarence McFate, 89, of Tama, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, three days short of his 90th birthday, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be Friday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, with the Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Ron (Lucy) McFate of Estes Park, Colo., and Mark (Christine) McFate of Toledo; two daughters, Danna (Wayne) Peterson of Spring Hill, Fla., and Marlene (Dennis) Burkheimer of Ames; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Rachel Stephenson of Loveland, Colo.; one brother-in-law, Paul Pagel of Tama; and many nieces and nephews.
