McEnany, William 'Bill' E.
William “Bill” E. McEnany, 54, of Ryan, died on his farm near Ryan and was found on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011. Mass of Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Monti, with the Rev. John Flaherty as celebrant. Interment: St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Monti. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, where there will be a Scripture service at 3 p.m., and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
Bill was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Arthur J. “A.J.” and Loretta M. (Short) McEnany. He was raised on the family farm west of Ryan and graduated from West Delaware High School. Bill attended Iowa State University in Ames and returned to the farm and made it his home.
He is survived by one brother, Arthur (Ginny) McEnany of Harrisonville, Mo.; four sisters, Margie (John) Heles of Des Moines, Marilyn (Charlie) Moore of Cedar Rapids, Barbara (Dan) Feldmann of Cedar Rapids and Maxine McEnany of Davenport; one brother-in-law, Jon Christensen of Lakeland, Fla.; 11 nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Loretta; a brother, Tom McEnany; a sister, Kathryn Christensen; a nephew; and a great-niece.
