McDonald, Jennie Lee (Rohbacher)
Jennie Lee (Rohbacher) McDonald, 67, of Independence, died Wednesday morning, June 23, 2010, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo following a short illness. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Reiff Funeral Home and Crematory in Independence, where friends may call from 3 p.m. until service time.
Jennie was born Feb. 27, 1943, in Amana, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Elisabeth (Werner) Rohbacher. On Dec. 30, 1967, she married Lawrence Martin McDonald. They lived in Marengo for many years before moving to Branson, Mo., where she worked as a sales associate for Yakov-Smirnoff. They recently moved to Independence to be near family.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence McDonald; sons, Kevin and Shawn McDonald; daughter, Michelle “Shelly” (Don) Tuttle; grandchildren, Dustin Bena, Joshua, Nicole and Daren Tuttle and Beth McDonald; one great-grandchild, Daylyn Willis; and sister, Roselyn Collingwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elisabeth (Werner) Rohbacher.
