McDonald, Cherri Ann
Cherri Ann McDonald, 51, died Monday, August 8, 2011, at Windmill Manor in Coralville, after a long courageous battle with diabetes, she was surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in West Liberty. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or the American Diabetes Association.

Cherri was born on August 26, 1959, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Judy Meyer McDonald. She graduated from West Liberty High School in 1977 and later received a degree to become a medical secretary from Metro Business College in Jefferson City, Mo. She was employed with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, the West Liberty School District and the Missouri Asphalt Association in Jefferson City. She also ran the sandbox located at the West Liberty Pool.
She is survived by her parents, Dale and Judy Denkman of West Liberty; brothers, Keith (Tammy) McDonald of West Liberty, Terry (Sandy) McDonald of Coralville, and Chuck McDonald of Cedar Rapids; sister, Karen (Scott) Brincks of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and grandmother, Laverne Myers of Clinton.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene “Sonny” McDonald; and grandparents, Lloyd and Edith McDonald, Otto Meyer, Elsie and Clifford Denkman and Harold Myers.
