McCue, Ann E. (Schmidt)
Ann E. (Schmidt) McCue, 63, of Independence, formerly of Oelwein, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at the Danville Care Center, Danville, Ill., following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Geilenfeld Funeral Chapel, Oelwein. Burial: Stanley Cemetery, Stanley, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her children, Amy Baskerville (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids, and Mark Schmidt of Davenport; four grandchildren, Brent Tripp, Aaron Schmidt, Tyler Barber and Matt Barber; and her first husband, Mike Schmidt of Panama City, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry McCue; and her parents.
Ann was born Jan. 4, 1947 in Independence to Elton William and Sarah Elizabeth Campbell Bly. She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1965. She married Larry McCue on July 5, 1995. in Oelwein.
