McCready, Doris S.
Doris S. McCready, 99, of Northbrook Manor Care Center died there on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 after a long illness. Services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Echo Hill Presbyterian Church. Rev. Bill Warhover will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie (Wally) McCoy of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and two brothers.
Doris was born on Oct. 12, 1910 in Reasoner, the daughter of Count and Nellie Wheeler Walsh. She married Earl B. McCready on Oct. 31, 1931 in Bettendorf. He died in 1966. Doris was a member of Echo Hill Presbyterian Church where memorial donations may be given in her name.
