McCormick, James 'Jim' Roy Jr.

James “Jim” Roy McCormick Jr., 74, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital. Per his wishes, Jim has been cremated. Friends may join the family in a celebration of life at Mr. B's, located at 629 2nd Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Jim was born Sept. 10, 1935, in Fairfax. He married Carol Tobler on May 9, 1959, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He owned and operated Jim's Heating and Air Conditioning for nearly 50 years. Jim loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and boating, as well as Western movies and County Western music. He was very dedicated to his family and will be dearly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Tammy Jones of Shellsburg; James Roy (Anne) McCormick, III of Cedar Rapids; Michael Clark (Angie) of Cedar Rapids; three sisters; one brother; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, who is due in May; beloved pets, Deanie and Sparkiep; and many friends.

Jim is preceded in death by parents, James Roy McCormick Sr. and Adria (Coleman) McCormick; a sister; and two grandchildren.
