McCluskey, Donovan A.

Donovan A. McCluskey, 80, of 1116 Westwood Dr. NW, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Springville, died Sunday Jan. 2, 2011, surrounded by his family. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial: Czech National Cemetery.

Survivors include his children, Diane Barnes of Cedar Rapids, Donovan McCluskey of Palo, Denene McCluskey of Washington State, Deb Wodstrchill and husband Steven of Cedar Rapids, and Duane McCluskey of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorvane; and a son, Dale McCluskey.

Donovan was born May 22, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Elbert and Neva Shoreman McCluskey. He married Lorvance Mann on March 27, 1951, in Cedar Rapids. Donovan was a truck driver for over 30 years retiring from C.R. Transfer. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Donovan's pride and joy was his farm in Springville.
